As the holidays approach, many of us take time to reflect on the things that matter most—connection, stability, and belonging. At New Narrative, these values are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity not just to survive, but to thrive.
This year, we were honored to be featured in KATU’s AM Northwest “Season of Giving” segment, where our CEO Julie Ibrahim and our Director of Youth Services Megan Soucy shared a glimpse into our mission and the impact of our work across the Portland metro region. The segment highlighted what we see every day: mental health support and safe, stable housing can change the trajectory of a person’s life.
Supporting the Whole Person
New Narrative provides integrated mental-health care, peer support, and supportive housing—tools that help people rebuild their lives on their own terms. Whether someone is seeking therapy, working through the challenges of reintegrating into a community, or looking for a safe place to call home, our team is there with compassion and expertise.
This year alone, more than 2,000 individuals have connected with New Narrative services. These are people navigating some of life’s toughest challenges, often without a safety net. With the right support at the right time, they’ve found new pathways to stability, community, and hope.
Community Makes This Possible
The Season of Giving campaign reminds us that we don’t do this work alone. Our impact is made possible by the generosity of supporters, volunteers, community partners, and donors who believe in showing up for our neighbors. When you support New Narrative, you help open doors for people stepping into recovery, growth, and independence.
Looking Ahead
As demand for mental health services continues to grow, so does our commitment to meet people where they are—offering care, housing, and human connection. With your help, we can continue expanding our reach and strengthening programs that make a direct, lasting impact on people’s lives.
