What Is Peer Support?

By October 15, 2026October 20th, 2026No Comments

Peer support connects people through shared lived experience. It creates space for people to learn from one another, build confidence, pursue goals, and know they are not facing recovery alone.

Shared lived experience and mutual support

Peer support is mutual support, not one-way help. People learn from one another through connection and shared lived experience.

At New Narrative, peer support is part of a larger approach to recovery that values relationships, dignity, choice, and belonging.

Connection, purpose, and belonging

Recovery can look different for everyone. Connection can make the journey less isolating and create space for purpose and belonging.
